ContentBoosey & Hawkes agrees to the wording of the contract between it and Aria for the representation of Bohuslav Martinů's works. The contract is to be received by Artia by the end of June and will be effective from 1 July 1955. Artia forwards to Dilia part of a letter from B&H asking for comments:
Paragraph 4 of the contract excludes the licensing of theatrical, radio and television performances of stage works. The exclusion, according to B&H, is hopefully not final. A performance of JULIETTA in Wiesbaden is under consideration. Both B&H and Artia should be authorised to license stage, radio or television performances. Similarly, there will certainly be interest in Czechoslovakia in BM's latest operas and B&H would be loath to deny a licence to Czech opera houses.
