Content and physical description
ContentDilia thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 18 January 1956. At his request he sends him copies of both contracts [with Boosey & Hawkes; apparently drafts of each party]. The question of representation of BM's stage works needs to be resolved. Dilia will contact Karel Šebánek, provide him with copies of both contracts and letters with BM. BM is to comment on the contracts. Dilia will procure materials for the works entrusted to her regardless of whether B&H is interested. B&H must either advertise all works or indicate which works it is interested in; however, it should not block works that are of interest elsewhere.
Works in BM's exclusive ownership (for example, PLAYS ABOUT MARY) need not be included in the contract. Others will be arranged with the CS.
The contract should specify where royalties for works performed in Dilia's territory are to be sent to the composer. BM must decide which works to entrust to the exclusive representation of B&H.
