ContentDilia thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 14 May 1954. They are in contact with Boosey & Hawkes, and the details of the contract remain to be arranged. For the production of the material, they need masters: they ask BM for the material for JULIET, which the National Theatre lent him at his request. They approach BM directly rather than through the National Theatre. They also ask for the score of the opera.
They ask BM to send a power of attorney to his family, from whom they would borrow the definitive score of THE SPALICE. They will not abuse the advance materials and will do a careful job.
