Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů replies to a letter from Schott Publishing House dated 21 October 1965, stating that the publishing house does not have the manuscript of VIOLONCELL'S CONCERT No.2. However, Mr. Rosso of the New York publishing house G. Schirmer (which is the legal successor of AMP) informed ChM that the manuscript had previously been sent to the Schott publishing house in Mainz and must now be located there. Schott presumably considers the transparencies sent from AMP to be copies, but they are autographs.
Charlotte was waiting to see how Schott would respond to the letter from Mr. Rosso; hence the delay in writing. Rosso's letter to the publishers advised them to send the manuscript to Charlotte, confirming that they should keep it.
Charlotte has not yet heard from Schott Publishers and would not like to prolong the matter. She would like Schott to comply as soon as possible with the request she had sent them in her last letter.
