Content and physical description
ContentThe sender writes in the absence of Heinz Schneider-Schott, who has been travelling for over a month. He is replying to Charlotte Martinů to her letter of 29.1.1961 concerning the VIOLONCELL CONCERT No. 2.
Confirms that the Schott publishers have sent copies of the orchestral score and piano lift to Frank Rybka in New York. New York AMP sent them manuscripts of both at their request.
The publishing house cannot promise to publish the concerto at the moment because Bohuslav Martinů had already contracted with AMP in 1946. Under this contract, AMP gave the American premiere to Aldo Parisot and the European premiere to Leslie Parnas.
The publisher has asked AMP for further information. As soon as they receive a reply, they will notify Charlotte.
