Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that he has written to Karel [Novák] to thank him for his care of ChM. He is waiting for Rudolf [Firkušný], who is in California. He describes that he often feels lonely and dissatisfied because the work [on the CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 3] is not going as he had hoped. He believes that Charles [Munch] also keeps ChM [at the Prague Spring Festival] in good company. ChM is to give his regards to [Dmitri] Shostakovich, perhaps they will meet in Prague or Moscow. BM wants to donate his books to the Masaryk Institute in Prague.
Suggests that ChM ask [Henry] Honzl to look for a libretto for BM. Also, ChM should ask KN or [Rafael] Kubelík how they could arrange this with the SYMPHONY No. 5 material.
He also wonders if ChM has seen [Karel] Šebánek, [Otakar] Šourk. She will also definitely see [Alain] Divis soon. He asks how many days ChM spent in Žamberk [with Marie Martinů].
