Content and physical description
ContentThe writer (UE) asks Paul Sacher for patience and understanding in the current situation. The production department is still very busy and the work on the publication of [EPOS ON GILGAMES] cannot be expedited with the best will. The publisher is able to send the second part of the covers by the beginning or middle of February. Only then will it be possible to proceed to the creation of material for the soloists. The publisher undertakes to do his best to satisfy Sacher as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he cannot give an exact date. He adds in a postscript that the completion of the third part will also require additional time.

"[...] Was MARTINU ´Gilgamesch´ anlangt, so bitten wir Sie noch um etwas Geduld und Veständnis für unsere Situation. Die Herstellungsabteilung ist augenblicklich dermaßen überlastet, dass sie bei allem guten Willen nicht schneller produzieren kann, d.h. wir können Ihnen den zweiten Teil des Auszuges erst Anfang oder Mitte Februar zur Verfügung stellen. * Dann erst können wir überhaupt daran gehen, das Solisten-Material herzustellen. Wir werden alles daran setzen, Sie so schnell als möglich zufriedenzustellen. Einen genauen Termin zu nennen ist uns leider noch nicht möglich. [...]



* P.S. Die Anfertigung des III. Teiles braucht dann leider noch einige Zeit."
