Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů informs Charlotta Martinů of the end of the strikes. It seems that the ships could set sail again tomorrow. [Jan] Löwenbach leaves on 23 [October] instead of the originally planned 15 [October] and [Jan] Masaryk is already in New York. He asked JL to ask JM to mention ChM again.
He assures her that the situation will improve and that he is awaiting her arrival. Explains that he has spoken to JL regarding Prague [the Prague Conservatory site] and he will speak to Minister [Jaroslav] Stránský.
BM has occasional headaches and dizziness but feels generally well. He assures her that he is well looked after by [Rosalie] Barstow, the Machacek family, [Alain] Divis, Mr. Svec, the Löwenbachs and the Rybkovs. He has everything he needs, including apples from Mrs Rosen.
He plans to return to Europe together. He has finished [TOCCATU E DUE CANZONI] for [Paul] Sacher, is resting and waiting for her.
