Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks you for your letter and report on his request. He has already received a response from the Legation. He has to say that he has received the 1st prize for his sextet [SMITH SEXTET] in Washington. This award to Madame Coolidge is a small step forward. It enables him to devote himself to his work for a long time, amounting to $1000. Together with the support from Mr. President [T. G. Masaryk], she has at least two years of quiet work ahead of her. He thanks and, together with his wife, wishes her a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
