ContentHe asks BM to tell him that he wants to translate his opera (Three Wishes) himself, unless he encounters insurmountable difficulties; he likes the work; he has not yet been able to do anything with The Tempest; 'Kleiber has fallen seriously ill as a result of an operation on his appendix'; Klemperer has been to Russia and Holland and is returning 'today'; he wants to offer The Flurry to Klemperer, "whom I consider the best conductor for such works"; he will write to BM as soon as he knows his decision; he wants to interest Klemperer also for the opera; he asks him to assure BM that he will be glad to try everything to get him off to a good start "here".
