Content and physical description
ContentThe last living blood relatives of Bohuslav Martinů are his siblings František Martinů, a pensioner in Polička, and the younger Emilie Plodrová in Česká Třebová. Their father and father BM were cousins. After the premiere of SYMPHONIC FANTASIES, BM was appointed a member of the "International Institute". In 1953, he was invited as a juror to select new compositions for the Brussels Festival, and together with Charlotte Martinů, he dined there with the Queen of Belgium. BM changed his U.S. visitor's visa to a residency visa and can therefore return to the U.S. at any time. After Martin's accident, Rosalie Barstow nursed him while ChM was in France. The book with Einstein's signature is probably in Charlotte's [Martinů] possession. Daddy [Ferdinand Martinů] was happy in the family house that the Martins bought in Polička.
