Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů sends the score [a photographic copy of the 5th SYMPHONY] to the consulate; Jan Löwenbach is to follow up this shipment if it arrives at the Ministry of Education. Along with the score he sends transparencies to make the operating material and copies, and describes the technique for writing on this paper to make the score legible. From such material they [the Czech Philharmonic] have already performed his 4th Symphony. The score is poor [hard to read], it was underexposed. Karel Novák is to confirm the date of the premiere [of the 5th SYMPHONY] on 28 May. If Rafael Kubelík finds errors in the score, he is to mark them in the margin so that BM can correct them in the original. BM asks if the Philharmonic will be hosting Charlotte Martinů, who is coming to the festival.
