ContentBM asks the addressee for help in the matter of the Bedřich Smetana Prize. BM has entered the opera The Plays of Mary, which is also to be performed at the National Theatre in Prague in autumn [1935]. BM fears that the jury will not be satisfied with the piano excerpt and will require the score, which is available at the National Theatre in Prague, and that the Prague performance of the opera may be delayed for this reason. He wrote to Besední dom [Brno] and Kolář about this, but he did not reply. The opera [Plays about Mary] was performed for the anniversary of the Brno theatre in February [1935], and should have been performed earlier. Because of this, the performance in Prague was postponed from June to the end of the year. BM asks the addressee to intervene in this matter.
