Content and physical description
ContentBM regrets that Jan Kunc did not visit him in Polička. He hopes that a publisher will be found for Moravian Dances [Ronda H.200] and then send it to Kunc. The premiere is to be in January [1932] in Paris at the Cortot concerts. BM then proposes a performance of the Moravian Dances at the Brno Conservatory. BM returns to the letter Jan Kunc sent him on 22 October 1931 and explains that he himself asked the publisher Leduc to send BM's compositions to Kunc. BM asks the addressee to act on his behalf in the Sokol and Smetana Prize. BM asks Kunc to send him some Moravian or Slovak national songs after Pazdirk so that BM can complete his collection of national songs. He stresses that he wants songs with piano accompaniment. BM writes that he already owns Moravian folk songs published by Bartos and Janáček and Janáček and Váša [Moravian love songs], and also Kunc's Slovácké písně [Slovak single-voice songs]. In lieu of payment for these songs, BM offers his compositions and notes that in this way he obtained material from M. Urbánek. BM asks Pazdírek to send him a small score of Leoš Janáček's Notebook of the Disappeared. He asks Kunec when the Foundation's deadline for a new opera prize for next year ends.
