Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů hopes that they [Universal Edition, Vienna] have received the proofs of CONCERTA GROSSA that he made in New York and that they have made corrections to the orchestral material. He also hopes that the score will be published very soon, perhaps when he returns to New York he will find it with Associated Music Publisher[s]. He asks that the autograph of the CONCERTA GROSSA score be sent as soon as possible to Paul Sacher, where it is now. PS wishes to possess the orchestral material of CONCERTA GROSSA from which he played and which was corrected by him. Can UE sell this material to PS? BM assures that PS will undoubtedly announce any performance and pay the rent. He will also need to send new orchestral material to America. The one at Associated Music Publisher[s], made from a copy, does not, as he has written, correspond to the original score.
He therefore expects the manuscript to be sent to the address given soon. (Schoenberg, Pratteln).
