Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů from the hospital where he is recovering from an accident. The doctor has ordered him to rest, but he plans to return to school on Monday. BM mentions that someone visits him every day and he is well cared for. He wonders if ChM has had problems with Uncle Gogo [Louis Vautier]. Rudolf [Firkušný] is coming to see him this weekend. BM also sends greetings from [Henriette] Hirsman, Olga [Kusevicka], [George] Judd and [Boaz] Piller.
The students are sorry that BM is not teaching. BM was planning a big rest after Tanglewood, but this is getting pretty annoying. Plus he doesn't know when he will be able to finish [TOCCATU E DUE CANZONI] for [Paul] Sacher. He plans to meet [Jan] Masaryk in September. He asks ChM for patience.
