Content and physical description
ContentThe Vienna Festival is demanding and Alfred Schlee couldn't write earlier. He told several people about Bohuslav Martinů's opera [Greek Passions] and Herbert Karajan in particular was very interested. He probably wouldn't perform it himself, but it may play a role in the Salzburg-Vienna State Opera-La Scala combination.
AS has no details yet. He has ordered the novel [Kazantzakis - Christ Crucified Again] from Zurich. He thinks it's a great subject for an opera.
