Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů informs Charlotta Martinů that he enjoys his work and teaches many talented students who adore him. He's also helping a gifted student from Wisconsin. Only one older student is unhappy with BM's teaching style. He doesn't go to Tanglewood much. He has had no news from Rudolph [Firkushny]; he has called New York, but no answer. He thinks he will have to stay in New York in September to make arrangements for the new season. BM is not sure if he will visit [Frank] Rybka, he would not have much rest there. He also wants to visit friends in Boston. BM also wrote to [André] Beauseigneur. The students will perform the [Clavier] Quintet [No. 2], but BM doubts it will be a good performance. Mischa [Elman] will play a CONCERT [FOR MUSIC AND ORCHESTRA NO. 2] in the final week.
