He considers the two works paltry in musical terms, hence he cannot advocate their acceptance. The DUO is a sonic etude, some things sound nice and in places both instruments attain an original acoustic effect, but it is not sufficient for these pieces to be accepted. It’s terrible how some gifted composers waste their talent.
