Content and physical description
ContentRosalie Leventritt asked for the score of Bohuslav Martinů’s JULIETTE. The autograph score was sent to DILIA on 13 February 1958. The parts could be in Bonn or Czechoslovakia. Upon BM’s request, the vocal score with Walter Schmolka’s translation was sent to Friedrich Schramm in Wiesbaden on 11 September 1953. The vocal score with the Czech text was sent to London on 15 September 1953. Subsequently, FS sent the vocal score to ALKOR, Kassel. On 13 January 1959 he asked them to send it back to Boosey & Hawkes. Cliff [Wooldridge] said that in New York there should also be another vocal score, but there isn’t. He must call RL.
