Content and physical description
ContentJohn Coombs is surprised that Charles Munch claims exclusiveness for Bohuslav Martinů’s SYMPHONY NO. 6, given that it was performed in London at the BBC with Vilém Tauský back in June 1955. That is the work’s only certain performance in Europe, but it is likely that it has been performed in Prague too. He will only come to know the details after seeing the half-yearly reports. They have provided the material since October 1955, according to the instructions given by Ernst Roth, who does not know anything about exclusiveness. There must have been non-Munch performances in Dallas and elsewhere [in the USA].
