Content and physical description
ContentGertrude Smith regrets that the score of Bohuslav Martinů’s SYMPHONY NO. 6 won’t be published until 1956. She has written to Charles Munch about more corrections and also asked him to lend the score in the case that she fails to obtain the score from Germany. The Cleveland Orchestra has shifted the date of its concerts to 27 and 29 October [1955]. Geroge Szell required the score with inserted corrections, which they naturally do not possess. Therefore, GS asked ChM to lend the score - [at B&H] they would insert corrections in the score for GS and compile a list of corrections for the publication in London.
