Content and physical description
ContentThe errors discovered by Charles Munch in the material for Bohuslav Martinů’s SYMPHONY NO. 6 have not been corrected by John Andrewes in the Boosey & Hawkes, London material. Yet these corrections were only in the strings part, hence he would like to know whether ChM has also found errors in the winds parts. The winds parts are at B&H, but without the list JA cannot insert the corrections in the score without going through each part in detail. The score will not be published by the end of the year. There are merely three scores: one in Germany, one at B&H, London, used during the publication’s preparation, and ChM’s score. If Gertrude Smith needs the score, can she borrow that of ChM or Edgar Bielefeldt from Germany? If necessary, JA can suspend the work on the edition and lend her the score from London.
