ContentGetrude Smith asks to be sent a photostat copy of the score of Bohuslav Martinů’s CONCERTO FOR HARPSICHORD AND SMALL ORCHESTRA, since it is the only available material for this work and Gordon Manley would like to see it. [The following typed inscription is added below the text: “Excerpt from Mr. [Erwin] Stein's letter 2/23/54”: In June, Dr. ERhanded over to ES the autograph score [apparently an error, meaning a photostat copy] of the CONCERTO FOR HARPSICHORD AND SMALL ORCHESTRA, but now ER would like to have it back, and so ES is sending it to New York.]
