Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů was asked by Friedrich Schramm, Director of the Hessisches Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, for a piano score for JULIETTE, which he would like to perform in the next season. Since the correct English translation of JULIETTE (by Walter Schmolka) is only in one score [evidently meaning the piano score], BM asks Adams to have the English text transcribed into another one and send it to FS together with a letter informing him that he will receive the score soon. BM is at his wits’ end with the German translation, Ernst Roth will certainly have no time for it.
