Content and physical description
ContentBetty Bean informs Ernst Roth that following a successful recording and concert performances of Bohuslav Martinů’s SINFONIETTA LA JOLLA, Nikolai Sokoloff has decided to include it in the programme of his European concerts. He will be playing on 26 January and 11 February at the Albert Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra, on 28 February and 4 March in Paris with the Radio Diffusion Orchestre Nacional. NS wants the SINFONIETTA LA JOLLA in the programme instead of Ernest Bloch’s Concerto grosso, and therefore is in contact with Mr. Adrian Cruft, yet it would be good to put in a word on behalf of Boosey & Hawkes too. Roth received the score of the SINFONIETTA LA JOLLA previously, now he will be sent the orchestral materials. NS has agreed to take them back to the USA afterwards.
