ContentBM sends Christmas greetings to SK. He has the sheet music of the Double Concerto and would like SK to perform it. He considers the piece to be one of his more successful and is excited about it. The work was written at the time of the Munich crisis and bears traces of the anxiety of those difficult times. He would like to dedicate the symphony to SK and his orchestra for next season. He wants to send the Double Concerto to Koussevitzky and asks where. The Double Concerto is for two string orchestras, piano and timpani; it lasts 25 minutes.
