ContentThey are planning to send out announcements about the Symposium to many people and organizations around December 1. The existing pianos are now in good shape after years, but they could use 2 or 3 more. Merritt will think about a suitable candidate for the music critic position at the Washington Post. Mrs. and Mr. Brown suggested that they would financially underwrite a piece to be performed at the symposium. Merritt suggests either one of the following pieces: the Martinů String Quartet [MUSIC QUARTET No. 6], the Schoenberg String Trio, or the Collegiate Chorale of New York.
He sends a preliminary program of the symposium.
