Dear Mr. Merritt,

I am looking forward to the Symposium concerts and I hope, we will be able to come to Boston. Please make a arrangement for us. I think we can stay with our friends from Boston Symphony.

Thank you for the check.

Would you be so kind and ask Mr. Piston to make a corrections dans le score and partes, to correct the metronomic indications. I used for the first time the electric metronome and now, I see that it doesnot concord with Maelzel metronome. it is all wrong.

The correct indications are:

I. First movement            Maelzel M.         Q=108(104)

II. Second Movement     “            “             E=120

III. Last mev                      “             “        Q=92

and Allegro con brio, page 35.                   H=120

Thank you, I am with my best regards

yours

B. Martinu
