ContentBohuslav Martinů has completed the quartet [SMITH QUARTET No. 6] and will send the score in a few days. He wants to know about the parts being written out, and also whether the parts will be written on transparent paper first, so that several copies can be made. BM would like some copies for himself, he intends to cover the cost of his copies. Thanks for the book (Merritt: Sixteen Century Polyphony).

Dear Mr. Merritt,



I finished the quartet and I will send you the score in somme days. I would like to know about the copy of parts, do you take care of it? Please, let me know about it and also if the copy of parts is made of the transparent paper first, to have the possibilities make several copys, I will need somme for myself and I would pay the expense for my copys.
