ContentHe has run out of books; he would like a new Kazantzakis; he reads a lot, but mainly composes; things are tense with Berlin; about the political situation in Europe; he sends his address to Nice, where they want to be from 1. April to the end of May, then they will return to Pratteln; in July they would like to go to the Alps; doubts that Frank will come to see him this year; Frank wrote to him about the Boston concert [played by Parabolas]-it was originally supposed to be last November, but there was no orchestra material available; all BM's friends, including Rudy [Firkušný], were enthusiastic; the concert was broadcast to Europe, but BM did not catch it on his radio; BM expects Munch will give this concert in Europe soon-certainly in Paris; Gilgamesh has been performed in Frankfurt and Milan and will be in Vienna in June, where BM would like to go with the Sachers; Ochenaszek is going to Bohemia with dollars; his opera [Mirandolina] will have its premiere in Prague, where they hope BM will come to see it, but BM will be in Nice at that time, he will see the opera next year in Switzerland; he is thinking of coming to Prague to celebrate his 70th birthday, but he doesn't know where they will stand on passports- they may have to go back to the US.
