Content and physical description
ContentRybka writes enthusiastically about the premiere of the 4th Piano Concerto (Incantation) in New York on October 4, 1956. Stokowski, however, sometimes ran too much that Firkušný could not win everything. Rybka is to be congratulated, however: this is a work that shows the piano "from a more musical point of view", and BM also revealed many new effects. The harp effect in the second movement is unique, as is the orchestration in general. Rybka writes who all was at the concert: Martha's mother, Stella (Steiner?), Stella's "handsome" husband, Mrs. Leventritt with Lilian Fuchs and her husband (Joseph Fuchs). Also the Saidenberg brothers and Warburg. Frances Ježková was also present. Everyone remembers BM, BM is to write. Rybka will send critiques in the next letter.
