Content and physical description
ContentSalva Tadeáš thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter. BM asks which modern music he is interested in. Salva replies: not just one musical movement, but a wider field. He was interested in Schoenberg and Berg, Martinů himself, Stravinsky. He has also heard some electronic music, but he leaves that aside for the time being; he sees no other use for it than in film music. Salva complains to BM that in Czechoslovakia there is almost nothing of modern world music available, neither scores nor gramophone records. Finally, he asks BM whether he has received the two "small pieces" he sent with the previous letter for his consideration and what he thinks of them.
