ContentFendrych recalls B. Martinů - they attended the conservatory together for a year. Fendrych was still studying at the Faculty of Philosophy and had to leave the conservatory after one year. However, he assures B. Martinů that of his colleagues at the time, he was the one who stuck in his mind the most - they used to sit next to each other in Stecker's theoretical courses. He always admired him and followed his creative growth, but now he is especially curious about Gilgamesh. In his letter, he recalls some details of that year, the moments he shared with B. Martinů at the conservatory - memories of that year are the main impetus and content of the letter. Fendrych had read in the newspaper that Martinů might come to this year's Prague Spring [1958], in which case he was looking forward to seeing him again.
