Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Paul [and Maja] Sacher for their letter, for their wishes, for the performance of the CONCERT SYMPHONY [No. 2] and for the cheque which arrived on 8 December.
BM is curious to hear the recipients' impressions of the work. He himself was impressed by Conrad Beck's article in the programme, and will write to him again.
Sends the negative which PS asked him for [see Sac 1950-11-01]. Encloses a list of further corrections to the printed score of CONCERTANT SYMPHONY [No. 2] and asks the addressee to include them in his score and parts.
BM wrote to [Boosey & Hawkes] in London asking for material [see Sac 1950-11-21]. It seems they do not want to sell it. However, BM will try to press further.
BM asks Sacher for news of the premiere and regrets that he was unable to attend.
He doesn't consider his birthday anything special and is taking his age well, only present conditions could be better.
