Content and physical description
ContentPaul Sacher thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 12.4. He would like to meet BM sometime in Europe, but due to the composer's state of health no one can force him to travel to Prague quickly, and no one can attribute his stay in the USA to reasons other than those BM gives.
PS will not be going to Prague and will therefore not be able to pick up the score of JULIETTA. BM need not worry, however, as Karel Šebánek will certainly do everything he can to keep the manuscript safe. He probably wouldn't even give the score to Sacher. If BM wants it with him, he will probably have to write to Prague himself, explaining that he needs it for performance in America. PS believes it will be possible to send the score by diplomatic pouch.
PS hopes to see BM soon. He also sends his regards to Charlotte Martinů.
