ContentPaul Sacher thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 25 May.He is very glad that BM has already started work on a composition for him [TOCCATA E DUE CANZONI]. The number of wind instruments BM has given will be excellent. It is even possible to strengthen some of the instruments if BM wishes. As for the strings, PS will have 8 first violins, 8 second violins, 6 violas, 5 cellos and 2-3 double basses. The concert will take place in a large concert hall that seats approximately 1300.
PS hopes that Charlotte Martinů will have an enjoyable trip to Europe. He is looking forward to meeting her in Paris.
