ContentBohuslav Martinů received a letter from Paul Sacher about CONCERTA GROSSA. He immediately sends him the score of the piece, even though it is risky.
In his letter to Universal Edition, BM explained his intentions in detail and did not act unfairly. He did not want to prejudice their rights and was guided only by practical considerations. He apologises for the misunderstanding.
BM will keep the material for the time being, and will send it when the situation has calmed down and when he knows that the manuscript of the score has reached UE in good order.
The performance of the piece did not take place here [in Paris?].
The PS is to acknowledge receipt of the score to the writer and to ask the UE for confirmation himself.
