He apologizes for having left him unanswered for a long time because of tragic events; he asks for help because of propaganda and Czechoslovakia; he is sure that he will not refuse him help if he has the opportunity to place something of his work or to draw attention to Czech work, representing at this moment all those who have remained free in France or elsewhere, except Czechoslovakia; he has asked the Universal Edition in Londres (thought Boosey and Hawkes) to A. to send the score of Tre Ricercari, which was played in Venice (6.9.1938) and which A. had asked him for, he would be very happy to place the piece in his programmes. (Ansermet performed the Double Concerto with l'O.S.R. in Geneva on 5.2.1941)
