Content and physical description
ContentThe National Theatre in Prague lends the National Theatre in Belgrade the musical materials of ŠPALÍČK for performances to be held from about the middle of March [1936]. The composer himself will lend the score and piano excerpt, with the condition that if necessary the Belgrade theatre will have the score copied so that the original will be available for possible performance elsewhere. All other musical material is loaned by the National Theatre free of charge. The material was sent on 12 February. They also set out the terms and conditions of how the material provided will be handled and ask for written confirmation of consent. The Belgrade theatre is to negotiate an operating contract with the composer, who only demands the usual 10% royalty on gross income (they give his address). Joe Jenčík is willing to take on the choreography, and the fees are to be negotiated with him (they give his address). They conclude by stating to whom copies should be sent.
