Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů encourages his friend by reminiscing about their moments together, about their collaboration. He writes about what Václav Talich has meant to him in his life, from his first encounters in the Philharmonic. He also recalls Talich's rejection of his compositions, how he came into his own. He will do anything he can for him, he just has to write to him about what it might be: he can put in a good word for him in Switzerland, for example. VT is supposed to believe in the indestructibility of the work, even when it appears to him otherwise.
