Content and physical description
ContentIn the first letter Bohuslav Martinů writes that he received a book by Jindřich Honzl in the post, he has not read it yet, but he sees that the fight was tough and regrets that he could not take part in it. BM went back to JULIETTE, which he and JH had discussed earlier, arranged with Neveux and set to work. He asks JH if he could track down an English translation and send it to him. He hopes JH will take over directing, he would certainly push it through in ND. In the second letter BM tells JH that after reading the booklet he was very pleased at the matter-of-factness of his defenders and appreciated Bartos' spar. He reflects on the state of not only drama but especially views on the arts. JH wishes that the result will come as soon as possible. He must not forget JULIET.
