ContentBM thanks for the quick turnaround, the materials from Melantrich have arrived. He is surprised that Löwenbach is not answering his questions about returning home. He repeats his questions - what to do, what about housing... He has no news. He can't come before April - he describes all the reasons. He asks who can help him. He has good offers for work, but still doesn't feel quite right. He is writing the second movement of a concerto, would like to finish it by March. He sends criticisms in the cover. They are interested in Juliette, but he needs an English translation. Leinsdorf will give the 4th symphony, Koussevitzky perhaps the first. Praises Jan Novak, will take him to class. He wonders if he shouldn't devote himself exclusively to composition and teach only occasionally. Inwardly he is dissatisfied and uneasy...
