Content and physical description
ContentThey like the SEXTET which Bohuslav Martinů sent them a great deal and they would like to accept it for the publishing house. However, publication of the composition is, for the time being, out of the question – they are busy with so many things that it is impossible to even postpone it. Nevertheless, they might (by means of their new method) make 5 photocopies of the score and 2 copies of the parts so that the composition can be performed. They hope that this material will be sufficient – not many people are usually interested in such works. They would like him to let them know if he agrees with this suggestion and ask him to send them the score. They were pleased to learn that he had sent the piano reduction of the first act of his film-opera [THREE WISHES OR INCONSTANCY OF THE LIFE] to Berlin to translate it into German and they expect him to send it to them as well.
