Content	MS replies to the letter of 8 June: 1. BM read the manuscript of his book in 1958, told him his comments, on the basis of which MS added to or revised the book. After a second reading, BM expressed his approval. 2. He knows nothing of the letters between BM and Rosalie Barstow. 3. BM told him in a letter dated 11/7/1958 that he had copied a systematic catalogue from the manuscript of his book. He felt honoured, but his publisher already had the copyright on this catalogue. He begged not to give it to someone who might misuse it - BM reassured him in his letter of 7 September 1958. Now, however, he learned that H. Halbreich intended to publish a catalogue of Martinů's works in Paris, which was obviously influenced by his (BM's) work. He therefore asked ChM to write to him about what had happened to the rewritten catalogue. To this day he has not received a reply. 4. He welcomes all serious information and documents, he is not interested in unsubstantiated rumours.
