Dear Mr. Schlee:
I think you are back in Vienna by this time and I hope you enjoyed your stay during your vacation. I am still sorry I couldn’t come to Austria this year, but as you probably know, we had a strike of almost everything in France, so I couldn’t move and I stayed in a little village near Paris and I had a nice lazy time. Now I am in Nice and am sending you my adresse, as I will stay the whole year in Europe and over the winter in Nice we shall certainly find a opportunity to see each other, which I would be very glad to. I would like to ask you something if you decide to take Concerto da Camera. There is a part of piano which I think is in some parts heavy (when the soloist is playing) and unnecessary, I would take it out. Somebody eventually could look it through, I would accept any suggestion. There are some more compositions which were reliesed [sic] by Boosey and Hawkes, if you are interested, tell me.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincery yours
B. Martinu
