ContentHe comforts Frank about Bakala's death and remembers him. He has bad news from home, his brother is getting worse. He can't write to them that he probably won't come, that would break them. Other friends who write to him from home also suggest that the time is not right for him to come. The paper has arrived, BM thanks them for handling it. He describes the weather. He is working on an opera [GREEK PASSION II], they had a successful concert in Zurich. He would be well, only thoughts of going home are troubling him.
