Content and physical description
ContentHe describes the weather as raining all the time, but he doesn't mind, he is composing an opera. He compliments his home and surroundings. Yesterday there was a concert in Salzburg, but he did not go there, he listened to it on the radio (the premiere of Fresco Piero della Francesca with Kubelík) and was satisfied. He compliments Universal that they have already booked more concerts. He is also interested in the opera but has yet to finish it and wants to redo Act 1, which he did in New York, because he doesn't like it. He encourages Frank to get ready for the election. He has little news from home. He has written to Tondo and his boy who composes on how to become a real composer has received a strange reply. They also sent him a copy of one of his compositions (Black Songs). BM describes it. No news about Rudo, but the concert will be on 4 Oct.
