Content and physical description
ContentHe was at Janáček's funeral in Brno, and Oskar Nedbal told him that he was going to perform The Soldier and the Dancer in Bratislava. He knows these promises, but still recommends him to write to the directors of the National Theatre Bratislava. He points out that the bandmaster in Bratislava will be Karel Nedbal, with whom he has discussed the matter. Less pleasant is the message from U.E. that she sends him. He met Kalmus in Brno and ? asked them for an early decision, whereupon a letter arrived. Is there no possibility of getting another publisher? And shouldn't he do the German translation himself? But he doesn't have the elevator or the time. It would be six months from now, and he doesn't know of another translator.
