ContentHe had to leave BM without a reply to his letter of 14.3; only "today" did he receive a reply by telephone from the Kroll Opera: they were considering the opera Three Wishes again, but could not yet say whether they would accept it, they were interested in it and its prospects for performance, they wished BM to come to Berlin and perform his work, Klemperer was leaving in April for a short holiday, he would return in early May, BM might come in May or June, BM's presence "would contribute to a final decision"; also H. has already suggested to him "to come to Berlin at least for a short time"; recommends asking the Foreign Office for a subsidy for this trip; has no doubt that "the embassy there will recommend your request".
